Liverpool have revived their interest in Matheus Nunes, according to reports in the English media.
The Reds (along with Chelsea, Manchester City and West Ham) were linked with the Portuguese international last summer, before he sealed a move to Wolves instead. However, it appears the midfielder is now back on Jurgen Klopp’s radar.
Fans on Twitter are split on whether Nunes would now be a good signing, and some have even pointed out that he can’t make the switch to Anfield in January anyway:
yes. We should have bought him in the summer

No. He's looked unimpressive in the Premier league so far.
Caicedo or Amrabat, then Jude in the Summer.

Can't sign him. He's played for too many clubs in such a short time, #LFC missed their chance last season before he went to wolves

We can get him and Youri Tieliemans

16 games 1 assist and no goals. Don't think so!

FIFA rules mean a player can’t play for three teams in the same season, so there wouldn’t be any point in Liverpool making an offer for the 24-year-old this month.
It could be an option worth revisiting at the end of the season but the Reds need to be prioritising a move for a new midfielder now or their hopes of finishing in the top four could be put in jeopardy.
