Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker didn’t have the best of nights as the Reds crashed out of the FA Cup following a 3-2 defeat to Manchester United at Old Trafford.
The Brazilian only managed to get a glove on Marcus Rashford’s rather tame shot as the Red Devils went 2-1 up early in the second half. He was also slightly at fault for Bruno Fernandes’s winner, anticipating that the Portuguese international would not shoot on the keeper’s side for the freekick.
Those errors, on top of a poor pass out to Fabinho which resulted in his fellow countryman getting a yellow card, led to some fans on Twitter speaking out about Alisson’s below-par display:
Should of saved 2 of those.
Scared every time he has to pass the ball out.
Just waiting for mistake to happen.— nigel J (@nigelJ00358825) January 24, 2021
Yep. Not a good day for him.

Spot on, thought that was probably Alisson's worst performance for us. Some of his distribution was questionable and I thought he should have done better for Fernandes's goal

Should have saved the rashford and fernandes goals

He was poor for free kick

his positioning especially for Rashford goal was off. that is not something we associate with him at all

He hasn't been in form recently.

Allison miscalculated on that free kick

Rashfords goal was tame and he was at fault for the free kick. He needs to step up considerably more because of our weakened back four.

After also giving away the penalty against Burnley, which led to the Reds’ first home league defeat since 2017, the last few days haven’t been Alisson’s finest in a Liverpool shirt.
However, that could be said of many of his teammates as well, and it can’t help the keeper when he has a makeshift defence, which is constantly changing personnel, in front of him.
