Sky Germany Confirms Liverpool Enquiry For 26M Rated German Ace But Claims Player Has Another Destination In Mind

Sky Germany journalist Max Behrenbeck has revealed Liverpool have made a recent enquiry for Red Bull Salzburg forward Karim Adeyemi.

The German international is almost certain to leave Austria at the end of the season but Behrenbeck believes the player plans to return to Germany before looking further afield:

“Liverpool recently asked again. Poker is open. It is also clear that Adeyemi’s career plan includes taking the next step in the Bundesliga. before he might go abroad again.”

It is thought that Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig have already spoken to Adeyemi’s representatives about a potential transfer next summer and it’s likely that the 19-year-old will end up at one of those clubs if a deal can be agreed.

Salzburg are said to be asking for between €30m (£26m) and €40m (£34m) so that could put a spanner in the works if the three Bundesliga sides cannot stump up the cash for the teenager.

Liverpool will be keeping tabs on negotiations closely, with the likes of Chelsea, Manchester City, Arsenal and Barcelona also said to be in the mix for Adeyemi.
