‘Stay Strong’ ‘Get Well Soon GOAT’ Fans Respond As Liverpool Star Speaks Out On Being Sidelined

Liverpool forward Mo Salah has thanked fans for the supportive messages he has received after testing positive for the virus:

The Egyptian international is reportedly experiencing minor symptoms and he will not be available when the Reds face Leicester City at Anfield on Sunday. Fans on Twitter responded to Salah’s tweet by wishing the 28-year-old well, whilst expressing hope that he’ll be back playing very soon:

Salah’s absence this weekend will be a massive blow to Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp who already has a very lengthy injury list.

The likes of Jordan Henderson (hamstring), Thiago Alcantara (knee), Rhys Williams (hip) and Fabinho (hamstring) are all doubts for this weekend’s game while Joe Gomez (knee), Trent Alexander-Arnold (calf), Virgil van Dijk and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (both knee) are all unavailable.

The run up to Christmas could well be one of the most difficult periods in Klopp’s reign in charge, considering the number of games and the absence of so many key first-team players.
