Liverpool are open to selling midfielder Marko Grujic for €14.5m (£13m) this summer, according to reports in the German media.
The Serbian international’s original asking price was €20m (£18m) but the financial impact of the global health crisis means the Reds are willing to offload him for a lower amount.
Supporters on Twitter think selling Grujic could be a mistake:
Surely we can get 20 mil
After all we made bournemouth pay 20 mil for solanke— Rizwan (@R13_DC) July 21, 2020
Just remember their was a global pandemic probably why we have dropped his asking price

Think it's a mistake to sell him. I rate him a lot and think he can do a job for us.

We shouldn’t sell him. I think he can do a job and actually rate him.

Keep him. Always great in preseason. Then we loan him out for some reason, and he does great there too.

The least we should get for him is 17mil

Hertha Berlin would be the favourites to sign the 24-year-old after he spent the best part of two years on loan with the Bundesliga club, but it remains to be seen whether they will come in with an offer to sign him on a permanent basis.
However, Liverpool could opt to keep Grujic in order to allow his value to rebound next year. At this stage, you wouldn’t rule out the Serbian going out on a temporary basis for a third successive season if a team offers a satisfactory loan fee for the player.
