Liverpool forward Sadio Mane didn’t waste any time on his return to Melwood. The Senegalese international is back in training following his exploits with Senegal at the African Cup of Nations.
However, after arriving at the training ground, he made a beeline for Andy Robertson, playfully accusing him of performing badly against Manchester City. The Scottish defender was having none of it:

There is a grain of truth in what Mane was saying. Robertson didn’t get a great deal of help from Divock Origi and he will be happy to have Mane back to help out defensively.
Liverpool supporters will, though, be hoping the 27-year-old can replicate his form last season in front of goal. The forward was joint top scorer in the Premier League with 22 goals.
Despite being delighted to have him back in the fold, Mane’s short summer break will have some fans worried he could suffer burnout this campaign. Hopefully, his game time is managed well by manager Jurgen Klopp.
