Liverpool are eyeing Bayern Munich’s Jamal Musiala as a potential alternative to Jude Bellingham, according to reports in England.
The asking price and competition from the likes of Real Madrid, Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City for Bellingham’s signature means the Reds are investigating a possible backup plan.
However, fans on Twitter are divided on whether Musiala would be an option, considering Bayern are not interested in selling the 19-year-old:
That is a fantastic alternative tbf.

@linfieldrobbie all the talk about Bellingham next summer and we are looking at cheaper options. Would never have guessed that. 🤣 To be fair Musiala looks good

With Musiala also said to be keen on staying in Germany, this transfer looks to be a non-starter. The teenager has been in excellent form, with seven goals and six assists already this campaign, but there is very little chance of securing his services.
In terms of potential alternatives, Inter Milan’s Nicolo Barella could be a more realistic possibility considering his club’s financial problems, while Borussia Monchengladbach’s promising young talent Kouadio Kone may also be available for transfer next summer.
