So what we have done is select one each from five managers: Graeme Souness, Roy Evans, Gerard Houllier, Rafa Benitez and Roy Hodgson.

With Jurgen Klopp having rarely put a foot wrong in the transfer market, it was easy not to include his purchases while with Brendan Rodgers, it was one fatal summer after the sale of Luis Suarez that really did all the damage.
