Liverpool are monitoring Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar’s situation, according to the Mirror‘s David Maddock.
The journalist, who was one of the few who predicted that the Reds would withdraw from the race for Timo Werner, says the Reds would be interested in Aouar if Lyon reduce their valuation of the player.
Supporters on Twitter are hoping the club make a move for Aouar when the transfer window opens:

Currently, it is believed that Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas will not be looking to sell the Aouar for below €50m (£45m).
However, the Ligue One side’s financial situation may force them into selling for a lot less, with the club having lost matchday revenue from the league season being cancelled, as well as missing out on European places.
Even if Aouar were to be available at a knockdown price, though, there would be fierce competition for the 21-year-old with the likes of Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal also having been linked with the player in recent months.
