The Surprising Reason Why Yves Bissouma Favours A Move To Arsenal Above Liverpool And Leicester

Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma’s “unwillingness to move so far north” is driving his desire to make the switch to Arsenal, ahead of Liverpool or Leicester, according to 90min.com.

The Malian international is believed to be interesting all three clubs, with reports indicating that the Seagulls are willing to sell the player for £40m due to the fact he has just two years remaining on his contract.

However, it seems the Gunners are in pole position for Bissouma’s signature, with 90min claiming that the London club will “firm up” their interest in the 24-year-old later this summer.

Whether that proves to be the case, we shall see. Arsenal have been heavily linked with Wolves’ Ruben Neves in recent days and, if Mikel Arteta’s side do opt to sign the Portuguese international, it would probably rule them out of the race for Bissouma.

In terms of Liverpool’s own chances of snapping up Bissouma, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano says the Malian has been scouted but, other than that, there has been no official approach for the player.
