Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is keen on bringing back Eden Hazard to the Premier League, according to El Nacional.
The Catalan rumour mongers claim that the German is looking to reinforce his frontline with Sadio Mane and Mo Salah going away for the African Cup of Nations later this month.
With Real Madrid reportedly willing to offload Hazard, Klopp is said to have asked the Reds’ board to go after the ex Chelsea player, but he was given short shrift, with the recruitment team believing the Belgian is over the hill. Fans on Twitter don’t think there was any truth to the story anyway:
This ainβt a retirement home π whats hazard going to do he is behind Minamino on the depth chart

El Nacional are notoriously unreliable so supporters are right to be very sceptical. More well-informed journalists believe that Liverpool won’t be making moves for any player during the January transfer window.
The Reds’ sporting director Michael Edwards does not generally do deals midway through the season, and going after a player like Hazard would also go against the club’s recruitment policy.
