Liverpool forward Darwin Nunez recorded the fastest speed by a Premier League player in the Reds’ 1-0 win against West Ham on Wednesday evening.
The Uruguayan international hit 38Km/h, which is quicker than the previous record set by Manchester City’s Kyle Walker (37.8 Km/h) in 2020.
Nunez also scored his first goal at Anfield to seal an important victory versus the Hammers and supporters on Twitter are very excited by what the future holds for the player:
This guy is going to be gold!

Darwing Nunez will be a monster .. but will also be average at times due to our own form… Nunez heading power is superb and leaps high with elegance

Nunez has 6 goals & assists in 573 mins of football. That’s a goal contribution every 95 mins. If the “flop” continues like this he will end with more goals than everyone not named Haaland.

There’s no doubt that Liverpool have a gem in Nunez. His speed and shooting ability are not in question, but there are still improvements to be made to his all round game.
To put it kindly, his passing and technical ability are unpolished and he isn’t a player you would say is easy on the eye. If he can improve in those areas, he will turn out to be an excellent signing in the long term.
