Three Liverpool Players Named In Carabao Cup Team Of The Round

Three Liverpool stars made it into the Carabao Cup’s official “team of the round” after the Reds progressed following a comfortable 3-0 win against Norwich City on Tuesday night.

Takumi Minamino was named in the eleven after his brace. Caoimhin Kelleher was also rewarded with a place following his penalty save at Carrow Road, while Kostas Tsimikas was recognised for his assist in Divock Origi’s goal.

In terms of the makeup of the rest of the team, Chelsea right-back Reece James, Brentford trio Charlie Goode, Yoane Wissa & Marcus Forss, Manchester City pair Phil Foden & Riyad Mahrez, Burnley’s Jay Rodriguez as well as Preston North End’s Andrew Hughes were all included.

Liverpool actually face Preston in the next round of the cup. The match will be played at Deepdale, most likely on October 27th, in between the league game at Old Trafford against Manchester United and the match versus Brighton at Anfield.
