10) Ryan Gravenberch (Bayern Munich to Liverpool) – £34.2m

The midfielder has developed into one of the Reds’ most important players under the management of Arne Slot.

Gravenberch did find life tough at points during his first season at Anfield but his switch to a deeper position in midfield has helped his game massively.

9) Donny van de Beek (Ajax to Manchester United) – £35m

Arguably the biggest flop on this list, the midfielder arrived at Old Trafford off the back of two excellent seasons with Ajax, where he had produced double figures for both goals and assists.

However, at United, van de Beek found himself behind Bruno Fernandes in the pecking order. He is currently playing for Girona, having left Manchester last summer for just €500,000.
