However, Konate could still be relied upon to win his fair share of aerial battles, even if it didn’t really prevent his team from conceding on a regular basis.

The Reds let in 53 goals in total, 12 more than the previous season when they won the Premier League title.

Konate will be leaving Liverpool at the end of this month. He is set to join Real Madrid on a free transfer.
