‘Trent Is Already Shaking At The Prospect’ ‘Next Big Thing’ Fans On Twitter Hail Liverpool Starlet’s Display In Cup Triumph

Liverpool right-back Neco Williams was one of the standout performers as the youngest ever Reds team triumphed over League One side Shrewsbury in the FA Cup last night.

The 18-year-old delivered the pass which saw the Shrews’ defender Ro-Shaun Williams put the ball into his own net. The own goal proved decisive but it was Williams’ overall performance which impressed pundits and fans alike.

Supporters on Twitter have warned Trent Alexander-Arnold that Williams will be putting pressure on him for a first-team place in the not-too-distant future:

It is probably unwise to get too carried away but Williams is certainly showing signs he can make it at the top level. He was impressive on his senior debut, in the 5-5 draw against Arsenal in the Carabao Cup earlier this season.

The fullback followed that up with a more assured display against Everton in the third round of the FA Cup. This latest showing will, though, certainly make manager Jurgen Klopp sit up and take notice.
