Two Liverpool Players, Two City Stars And One Arsenal Defender Make WhoScored’s Team Of The Week

Liverpool’s Joel Matip and Diogo Jota have been named in WhoScored.com‘s Team of the Week.

Matip has been in imperious form for the Reds this season and he put in another great performance against Leicester last night, making two tackles, three interceptions and three clearances, as well as providing a rare assist for Jota’s second goal.

Jota, meanwhile, continued his great run in front of goal with a brace in the 2-0 win over the Foxes. The Portuguese international now has 12 Premier League goals this campaign, and 17 in all competitions.

WhoScored also included Leicester goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel in their eleven, with the back four consisting of Arsenal’s Gabriel, Newcastle right-back Kieran Trippier and Manchester City defender Joao Cancelo, in addition to Matip.

Southampton’s James Ward-Prowse and City’s Kevin De Bruyne made up the midfield, with Aston Villa’s Phillipe Coutinho, Leeds United winger Daniel James and Saints forward Che Adams selected in the forward line.
