Two Thirds Of Liverpool Supporters Want The Club To Replace Coutinho This Summer

There has been a lot of speculation regarding Liverpool’s transfer targets this summer but it appears that the club are in for a quiet transfer window.

A new left-back and a new forward have been two areas where the club are believed to be considering strengthening, but one position that appears to have been neglected is in midfield.

As we mentioned in a post last week, Liverpool’s midfielders do not score many goals, with James Milner scoring the most with just five in the league last campaign.

The feeling among many Reds supporters is the club have never really replaced Philippe Coutinho in the middle of the pitch. When we asked fans whether they want the club to sign an attacking midfielder this summer, two-thirds agreed:

There’s no doubt that Liverpool were considering strengthening that area last year when Nabil Fekir was close to signing from Lyon, but things have gone quiet since then. Will they consider a move for another playmaker this summer? We shall see.
