Van Dijk, Alexander Arnold And Alisson To Start, Gomez And Milner Out: Liverpool’s Predicted XI To Play Aston Villa

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is likely to recall most of his World Cup stars when the Reds take on Aston Villa this evening.

Alisson Becker is expected to replace Caoimhin Kelleher in goal, while Trent Alexander-Arnold is likely to come in for the injured James Milner at right-back, with Andy Robertson keeping his position on the opposite flank. Virgil van Dijk should return to partner Joel Matip in the centre of defence, with Joe Gomez making way.

In midfield, captain Jordan Henderson may take Harvey Elliott’s place, with Fabinho replacing Stefan Bajcetic in the number 6 role. Thiago is set to retain his starting spot.

Up front, Roberto Firmino’s calf injury means Klopp has very few options to choose from. Darwin Nunez will lead the line, with Mo Salah and Fabio Carvalho either side of him.

Liverpool’s Predicted XI To Take On Aston Villa:

Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, van Dijk, Robertson, Henderson, Fabinho, Thiago, Salah, Nunez, Carvalho
