Vote For Liverpool’s Magic Mo Salah in The PFA Player of the Season Award for 2018

Liverpool have had an extraordinary season as Mo Salah has lit up the Premier League winning the Golden Boot with a record haul of 32 goals in his debut Liverpool season after joining from Roma last summer in what was then a club record deal of an initial £36.9 million.

How Chelsea must rue letting the incredible Egyptian forward leave as they sold him to Roma following barely giving him a chance to play after signing him from Basel.

Forgotten in the campaign is the club record sale of Phillipe Coutinho to Barcelona for £146million which many expected to effect Liverpool’s second half of the season negatively.

Egyptian international Salah has been so impressive that along with Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane they been arguably the most destructive forward line in Europe and have filled any void the departure of Coutinho was expected to create.

In their run to the Champions League Final where Liverpool face Real Madrid in Kiev on Saturday 26th May at 7:45pm and their Premier League season which saw them claim the last Champions League qualification place, the addition of Virgil Van Dijk for a new club record transfer fee of £65million from Southampton has played a big role.

Dutch international Van Dijk has undoubtedly made Liverpool much more solid at the back allowing their full-backs to join the attacks and launch deadly counter-attacking, high pressing and dynamic football that Jurgen Klopp likes to play and has had so much success using against Pep Guardiola managed teams.

Handing City their first Premier League loss and beating them in both legs to knock them out of the Champions League quarter-finals is testament to how Liverpool have dominated City after their early season loss to Pep’s side when Sadio Mane was sent off after the Reds looked well on top.

The choice to stick with Lorius Karius as the number one goalkeeper by Jurgen Klopp also helped Liverpool improve but no-one can deny that the signing of Salah for what is now a bargain of £36.9 million has transformed the Reds into an attacking juggernaut as their positive goal difference of 46 can attest which was only beaten by champions Man City.

Hopefully Salah and the boys have one more extraordinary performance left in them this year which would allow the to beat Real Madrid to win the Champions League again.

Why not cast your vote and help the mega-star that is Mo Salah crown his season with a win of the PFA Player of the Season Award for 2017-18.
