We are delighted to announce WalkOn.com’s brand new design with a fresh, modern look and much-improved functionality for the loyal visitors to the site.
The first thing you will notice is the brand new navigation menus (in the grey bar below the logo) which you can now swipe left and right to access pages such as Liverpool News, the blog, fixtures and results etc. It is also available as a drop-down menu by pressing the three white lines to the right of the Walkon.com logo.
A standout new addition to Walkon.com is the News Menu which now has four tabs: Breaking News, Trending News, Most Popular and StreamFootball. You can swipe left and right to navigate between the different sections.
The ‘Breaking News’ section lists the latest news items about Liverpool, with ‘Trending News’ collating the articles that have been most read by visitors in the past two hours. ‘Most Popular’ will list the most-read stories in the past 24 hours.
StreamFootball is, though, a new offering for Walkon.com visitors. We are delighted to be able to bring you video clips from the award-nominated service that allows you to discover the latest video content about Liverpool football club. You can even set reminders so you don’t miss a broadcast.
Another new feature is the blog preview widget which enables you to scroll through the news headlines on the pages, as well allowing you to swipe left and right to see our latest original content. By clicking “view more posts” you can also directly visit our blog page.
At the top of the site, you will also notice another new addition. By clicking “Select Team” you open access to the entire ScoopDragon Football News Network of sites, making all clubs easily accessible with a click of a button or a tap on your phone.
As well as being able to share our articles on Facebook, Twitter and Email, we are now offering another way to consume stories. We are providing you with the option to listen to our blog articles, so if reading is not possible, you can stay up to date with all the latest news about the Reds by listening.
Combined with the improved performance of the site in general in terms of load times, we believe these changes to Walkon.com will improve the experience for all visitors. They may be a few technical hitches as we transfer to the new design but we will be working very hard to make the transition as seamless as possible.
With the latest upgrades to the site, we are looking forward to serving our loyal user-base for another 15 years with the best selection of Liverpool football news available online.
