The Reds had won their previous three games before a Callum Hudson-Odoi goal handed Arne Slot his first loss in what was a tricky game for the home side.
Despite the loss, Liverpool are fourth in the league behind just Newcastle, Arsenal and Manchester City and will be pleased with their start to life under the new boss.
