‘We Want Him To Retire At LFC’ ‘I Knew It’ Fans React As Agent Debunks Rumour About Liverpool Ace

The agent of Liverpool winger Mo Salah has dismissed claims that the Egyptian international has held talks with Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi.

PSG are said to be keen on signing the 31-year-old as a replacement for Lionel Messi, but Salah’s representative Ramy Abbas Issa has denied that any meeting between the player and Al-Khelaifi has taken place:

Fans on Twitter are happy that this rumour has been debunked and they are looking forward to Salah playing for the Merseysiders once again next season:

Salah was never likely to leave Anfield

When the Egyptian spoke out on social media last month to apologise to fans about Liverpool’s failure to qualify for the Champions League, some took it to mean that he was unhappy with his situation at the club.

That has likely fueled the speculation about a potential move away from Anfield. However, Salah’s comments were typical of a man who is extremely competitive and takes setbacks really hard.

The forward rarely speaks out so, when he does, people understandably take notice, but it’s clear that his message was intended as more of a rallying cry to do better next season.

Salah remains a top drawer player

After a slow start to last campaign, some supporters were concerned that his lucrative £350,000 a week contract had affected his motivation.

However, that assessment turned out to be way off the mark. Salah ended up scoring 30 goals and providing 16 assists for Liverpool, and he will be looking to replicate that form when the season kicks off in August.
