With Liverpool unlikely to sign any more players this summer, despite there being more than a month to go before the transfer window closes, supporters have decided to start a debate about which Premier League player they would bring to Anfield if money was no object.
While a number of names were suggested, including Tottenham’s Son Heung-Min, West Ham’s Jarrod Bowen and Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka, the majority of fans on Twitter plumped for Manchester City playmaker Kevin De Bruyne:

It’s not a particular surprise that De Bruyne was so popular. Recruiting a creative midfielder has been something that the fanbase has been calling out for ever since Philippe Coutinho left the club.
The respect for De Bruyne among supporters is clear and obvious, and you would have to say that he would be the perfect addition to strengthen the starting lineup if it wasn’t for the fact that he plays for Liverpool’s biggest rivals for the title!
