Crystal Palace have made their move for Watford winger Ismaila Sarr, according to reports in the French media. It is believed that the Senegalese international is also being watched by Liverpool but it seems the Eagles are leading the race for the player.
Roy Hodgson’s side are looking for a replacement for Wilfried Zaha, with the Ivorian expected to leave Selhurst Park this summer, but Reds fans on Twitter are hoping Jurgen Klopp’s side get involved in the bidding:

Makes sense for them. Ideal Zaha replacement but surely this would force our hand as would clearly develop more under Kloop and the style of play. Just depends if the interest is real and what the fee is

Would be bad move for Sarr

Well no Afcon until next summer. And the next one will be 2 years after that.

Sarr was signed for approximately £30m last summer so his asking price is likely to be quite steep, despite Watford having been relegated to the Championship. The Hornets will also be counting on the fact that there are a number of teams interested in the 22-year-old, which could push up the transfer fee.
As some have mentioned, though, the influence of Sadio Mane could be an important factor. The pair are international teammates and it could sway things in Liverpool’s favour if they do enter negotiations.
