Borussia Dortmund attacking midfielder Julian Brandt is expected to be sold by the Bundesliga club this summer, according to reports in Germany.
Before Mo Salah was signed from Roma in the summer of 2017, Liverpool were seriously considering a move for Brandt, who was at Bayer Leverkusen at the time, with manager Jurgen Klopp said to be a big fan.
However, the German international made the switch to Dortmund instead in 2019, but he has struggled to find his form during his two years at Signal Iduna Park. With the 25-year-old set to be made available for transfer, fans on Twitter have been discussing whether the Reds should go back in for the player:
We’ve moved on from Brandt. Ain’t good enough for us

Brandt’s development as a footballer has been rather disappointing since his transfer to Dortmund, and it would be a big surprise if Klopp was still interested in signing the player. Arsenal have been the club most heavily linked with the midfielder so don’t be surprised if he ends up plying his trade at the Emirates in the near future.
