Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp phoned Sir Alex Ferguson at 3.30 am to tell him that the Reds had won the Premier League title.
In a video congratulating Klopp on winning the LMA Manager of the Year, Fergie revealed that the German had contacted him in the middle of the night, once the Merseyside club had been confirmed as champions.
Supporters on Twitter were loving Klopp’s antics:

It’s very likely that the Reds manager was slightly inebriated when he made the phone call, although it doesn’t seem that Ferguson was too bothered considering his jovial remarks about it.
Even so, it does demonstrate what a character Klopp is and, after having won title number 19 for Liverpool, he will now want to go on to win 20 in order to match United’s haul of league wins.
Klopp and his team do, though, deserve some time to reflect on what has been a remarkable campaign, before they come back and do it all again in September.
