Liverpool midfielder James Milner had an excellent game in the 3-2 win over Paris Saint-Germain last night.
The 32-year-old has started this season in top form, and he put in another great performance against the big spending Ligue One side.
Milner put away a penalty to make it 2-0 mid-way through the first half but his all-round play stood out. Fans on Twitter were waxing lyrical about the midfielder:

I’m actually starting to wonder if James Milner has ALWAYS been this good or if he’s just found a team / manager / system that allows him to show all his best, week in and week out. Some player!!! #LFC

Manager Jurgen Klopp has started Milner in all six matches so far this season, and he has only failed to complete the full 90 minutes once when he was substituted in the 2-0 win over Crystal Palace where he scored another penalty.
The midfielder has captained the Reds in the majority of games this campaign in the absence of Jordan Henderson, and he has offered true leadership on the pitch. Not bad for a player who was picked up on a free transfer three years ago.
