What is Liverpool’s best XI heading into the 18/19 season?

Liverpool have arguably had one of their most exciting transfer windows in years. Jurgen Klopp is set to lead his side into his 4th season at the club, and no campaign has had this much positivity surrounding it in that time.

The Reds have invested just short of £170m so far this summer, bringing in four players. Naby Keita completed his move which was agreed last year, joining Fabinho who signed from Monaco in a £40m deal. Stoke City winger Xherdan Shaqiri also sealed his move to Anfield for a fee of £13.5, and the pick of the bunch is without a doubt the capture of Brazil goalkeeper Alisson, who joined in a world-record £64m deal.

These are extremely exciting times for Liverpool, there certainly hasn’t been this much of a buzz around the club in a long time. And as Klopp’s men head into the new season as heroic Champions League runners up, who knows what will happen.

There are still plenty of transfer rumours surrounding the Reds’ camp, with Lyon midfielder Nabil Fekir still being heavily linked with a switch to Anfield. But regardless of whether or not the Frenchman arrives, let’s take a look at how Klopp could set out his side next season.
