Man City vs Liverpool Team News, Betting Odds And Where To Watch

Liverpool face a huge trip to the Etihad Stadium this weekend as they play against rivals Manchester City on Sunday afternoon.

The Reds drew 2-2 against Aston Villa in their last match, which handed a boost to title rivals Arsenal, who can go five points behind Arne Slot’s side if they beat West Ham on Saturday.

Liverpool recently found out that they will face a tough draw against Paris-Saint Germain in the Champions League, and so will be sure to continue their charge to the Premier League title.

They face a Man City side who have already been knocked out of the Champions League, but they have improved in the league, winning 4-0 in their last game against Newcastle United.

City have a fair few injury problems with the likes of Rodri, Manuel Akanji, and John Stones ruled out. Star striker Erling Haaland is also a doubt.

Meanwhile, Liverpool could be missing three names on Sunday, with Joe Gomez and Conor Bradley already ruled out. Attacker Cody Gakpo is a doubt for the game, meaning Slot may have to play Darwin Nunez, who missed a great chance to win the game against Villa on Wednesday.

The Reds made narrow favourites against City

Liverpool have been far superior to City this season, however, as Guardiola’s side looked better against Newcastle, the bookmakers haven’t made the Reds too heavy favourites.

According to Oddschecker, Liverpool are backed at 11/8 to win the game, which gives them a 42.1% chance of victory.

Meanwhile, City are backed to win at odds of 2/1 (33.3%), and a draw is backed at 29/10 (25.6%). We predict that Liverpool will win 2-1, in what could be a huge weekend for the title race.
