Who Could Liverpool, Chelsea, City And United Face In The Last 16 Of The Champions League?

Liverpool made it five wins out of five in their Champions League group after securing a relatively comfortable 2-0 victory against Porto at Anfield last night.

The Reds had already been confirmed as group winners before the match but, with round five having been completed, we now have a (slightly) better idea about who they could face in the last 16.

Manchester City‘s win over Paris Saint-Germain yesterday means that Liverpool could well face PSG as they will qualify as Group A runners-up. Group C is the only other group where the runner-up is guaranteed in Sporting Lisbon.

Juventus could finish second to Chelsea so that could be another possible opponent, while the other options are Real Madrid/Inter Milan, Barcelona/Benfica, Villarreal/Atalanta, Lille/Red Bull Salzburg and Sevilla/Wolfsburg.

Chelsea may draw PSG or Sporting Lisbon if they finish top of their group. Bayern Munich and Ajax are waiting for them if they finish second. Manchester City only have one known opponent (Sporting Lisbon) who they could draw so far.  Manchester United could meet PSG, Sporting Lisbon as well as 12 other possible opponents as group winners.
