William Gallas Claims Slot Has Made Things Look “Easy” As He Delivers Glowing Verdict On Liverpool Boss

Ex-Arsenal and Chelsea defender William Gallas says he is astonished with how quickly Arne Slot has settled into life at Anfield.

Speaking to Prime Casino, Gallas said he thought the Dutchman would find it tough to follow in the footsteps of Jurgen Klopp but that hasn’t been the case:

“Liverpool are consistent, even with the new manager Arne Slot coming in. Someone will need to explain to me how Liverpool are doing so well under a new boss.”

“He’s made following in the footsteps of Klopp look easy, and we’ve seen clubs attempt to replace legendary managers and find things far from easy. He should have the most difficult manager’s job in the league. It usually takes time for managers to have this type of impact, and usually, managers ask for time. Slot has come in, bang! Top of the league.”

Things couldn’t have gone any better for Slot

Being top of the table eight games into the season is a massive achievement, especially considering all the changes that were made in the summer.

With the exception of the home defeat to Nottingham Forest, Slot has pretty much had a perfect start. He will be hoping to continue in the same vein over the coming weeks and months.

Liverpool have some big fixtures coming up

Beating Chelsea in the first game after the international break should provide the Reds with the momentum they need heading into some important matches.

After taking on RB Leipzig in the Champions League on Wednesday night, they play Arsenal at the Emirates this weekend. Slot’s men then face Brighton in a doubleheader (Carabao Cup and the league) before hosting Bayer Leverkusen and Aston Villa at Anfield prior to the next round of international fixtures in November.
