“Without A Shadow Of A Doubt” Ian Wright Makes Prediction About Diogo Jota After Superb Arsenal Brace

Anfield Stadium

Arsenal legend Ian Wright expects Liverpool forward Diogo Jota to regularly score “15 to 20” goals a season for the Reds, after reflecting on his performance against the Gunners last night.

The Portuguese international was not included in the starting lineup by manager Jurgen Klopp, but after replacing Andy Robertson on the hour mark with the score still 0-0, he picked up two goals in 18 minutes to help seal a comfortable 3-0 win.

Wright says he has already seen enough of Jota to believe he will be a prolific scorer for the Merseyside club over the next few years:

“You look at him now and think, yeah, he’s probably one of those that Liverpool have got who can come on. He can easily get 15 or 20 goals a season. We’re talking about not being there for so long and he’s in, scoring goals and you feel he’s just going to be a mainstay, without a shadow of a doubt.”

With Jota, the numbers speak for themselves. In 13 Premier League appearances this campaign, he has picked up eight goals, despite only starting seven of those matches.

Fans will be wondering what might have been if the 24-year-old hadn’t picked up that knee injury in December, which kept him out of action for two and a half months.
