Liverpool have been in contact with the representative of Lille centre-back Sven Botman, according to reports in the French media.
At this stage, no negotiations have taken place with it being suggested that the Reds made a simple enquiry but it hasn’t stopped fans from getting excited on Twitter:
Would take this fella. Tall, Left Sided and still very young. Solid and no doubtedly would improve under JK.

Lille would reportedly want as much as €50m (£46m) for Botman despite paying Ajax under €10m for the defender in the summer. However, it is believed that the Ligue One club may well agree to sell for a substantially lower amount than the current valuation.
French football has been hit by the loss of a lucrative TV deal so clubs will be prepared to offload players for discounted prices and it is thought that Lille could make Botman available for only €30m (£27m). Whether such a fee would tempt Liverpool into making a bid when the January transfer window opens, we shall have to wait and see.
