Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United have all been in contact with the representatives of Barcelona forward Ansu Fati, according to reports in the UK.
It is believed that the 20-year-old will be on the market in the summer, with Barca prepared to sell him for around €100m (£89m).
Supporters on Twitter don’t believe that the Reds should break their transfer record for Fati, who has had his fair share of injury problems since making his senior debut:
100 milion for injury prone player. Yeah man united can have him

Given his injury history, that is waaaaay too much. He would be a huge gamble – worth it for the right price (less than $100M for sure), but a gamble nonetheless.

Not even for 10m.

This is just Barca desperately trying to get some money given their poor financial state. €100M for a very injury prone left winger, when we’re stacked in that position, would make absolutely no sense.

It’s a lot of money for someone who has an alarming fitness record. The Spanish international has missed nearly as many games due to injury as he has played for Barcelona and, despite his talent, signing him would be a huge gamble.
Liverpool are not exactly short of options upfront either, having snapped up Cody Gakpo during the January transfer window. Their focus this summer will surely be on recruiting two to three midfielders instead.
