75M Rated South American Star Speaks Out After Romano Confirms Liverpool, Chelsea And Arsenal Interest

Caicedo

Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo says he is 100% “focused” on playing for the Seagulls despite being aware of the “rumours” surrounding his future at the Amex.

The Ecuadorian international claims he doesn’t pay attention to any distractions off the pitch and he’s appreciative of the opportunities that Brighton have given him:

“I am focused on Brighton. I am here, I’m playing every day. Things from outside don’t trouble me, nor does it take that focus away because I’m focused only on here. I handle [the speculation] well. You hear rumours here and there, but I only try to be focused on the club where I am now, the club which opened the doors for me to be playing every week.”

Caicedo has recently changed agents, with journalist Fabrizio Romano claiming that Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal are monitoring his situation:

Chelsea are said to have made the first formal bid for the 21-year-old, tabling a £55m offer last week, but Brighton are reluctant to sell the player during the January transfer window.

Robert De Zerbi’s side may only offload Caicedo if a team makes a proposal in the region of £75m; a figure you can’t see Liverpool paying at the moment. The Reds are looking to recruit a midfielder but their priority is believed to be Borussia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham so funds could be held back to sign the England international instead.
