A Look At Liverpool’s Stunning New 2018-19 Season Kits

Liverpool have traditionally designed and produced pretty slick looking kits over the years managing to avoid some of the car-crash designs other teams have played in across the modern age.

Over the years there have been some truly horrendous designs in football kits and some of the most alarming designs can be see in a list of the 50 worst football kits ever.

Looking at this season’s kit offerings from Liverpool below, the home kit modelled by Mo Salah is a sure-fire hit and was well-received when it was first revealed earlier this year and the away kit is also a winner. Both seem to be going down well with fans.

The away kit for 2018-19 however, is leaving some Liverpool fans unimpressed with its stark contrast to previous kits but many are embracing the radical new purple colour scheme.

Clearly the purple kit is not for everyone but the Reds seem to be making a bit of a statement perhaps knowing that their rivals would likely be doing the same thing and trying to get as much publicity possible and hopefully as a result – sales from the release of their always highly anticipated new strips.

With the club having added a number of huge new summer signings in world-record priced goalkeeper Alisson, Naby Keita, Fabinho and Shaquiri after already adding Virgil van Dyke for £75million last January as well as locking down Mo Salah to a new multi-year contract, Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool will be hoping to back up their Champions League run to the final from last season with another solid European campaign plus a sustained title challenge in their new strip.

Looking back at their strip for the 2015-16 season when they launched their 1st kit with new sponsors Standard and Chartered it’s hard to argue with any of the three designs – they are all pretty slick.

As always we get it that the new kits create a lot of hype but with the prices charged these days it is not cheap to buy the the full kits or even just a shirt.

The price for an adult short-sleeved home shirt for the coming season is set at £55 (an extra £10 if you want a name printed on the back) plus shipping depending on where you are.

However to kit out young fans these days, Liverpool have actually made it relatively reasonable with the price for a “Junior” sized home kit for 2018-19 coming in at a decent £80 for the shirt, shorts and socks plus shipping from the Official Liverpool FC Store.
