‘A Massive Boost’ ‘Will Add Some Much Needed Quality’ Fans Hopeful That Liverpool Star Will Be Fit To Return Against Brighton

Up to four first-team players could make their comebacks from injury for Liverpool after the international break.

Captain Jordan Henderson (hamstring), Andy Robertson (knee) and Caoimhin Kelleher (groin) are likely to be back in contention, but it is the potential return of Ibrahima Konate that is getting most supporters excited on Twitter:

Konate certainly had a strong end to last campaign, having become a regular starter ahead of Joel Matip and Joe Gomez at centre-back. However, a knee injury picked up in preseason has stopped him in his tracks.

The France international may well be back in the matchday squad for the game against Brighton next month, although it would be a big surprise if he was ready to start considering he has not played a single minute of football so far this campaign.

Having Konate back (in addition to Henderson, Robertson and Kelleher) will, though, be a big boost for manager Jurgen Klopp.
