“A Meeting This Week” Journalist Reveals Latest Development In Liverpool’s Battle To Sign Karim Adeyemi

There will be a meeting between the agents of Red Bull Salzburg striker Karim Adeyemi and RB Leipzig this week, according to Sport1‘s chief reporter Patrick Berger.

The usually reliable German journalist claims Borussia Dortmund are still the favourites but Leipzig and PSG have also made a move for the teenager:

Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City and Bayern Munich are also believed to be interested in Adeyemi, who has scored 14 goals in 21 appearances for Salzburg this season.

The German international is reportedly valued at around €40m (£34m) and, while there have been claims that the forward would be keen on a switch to England, it is thought that a return to the Bundesliga is the likeliest outcome.

Adeyemi came through Bayern’s academy, before moving on to Underhaching, and it is said that the player is determined to prove himself in his native country before looking further afield. We shall see if Liverpool can change his mind.
