Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has added Liverpool forward Mo Salah to his list of summer transfer targets, according to reports in the German media.
The Egyptian international has yet to be offered a new contract by the Reds, leading to speculation about his future, but fans on Twitter can’t see the 28-year-old going back to Stamford Bridge:
As if. Would never happen.

I know we’ve had an awful season, but chelsea would be a massive step down for him, can’t see any truth in this at all.

Stories like this always come out about Salah. There all bs. He will sign a new contract after the season is over.

He most probably does want Salah but he won't get him

In other words, Salah's agent needs to add a few more zeros onto the new deal that @LFC are offering.

Liverpool have sold players to Chelsea before; most notably Fernando Torres, but this story is unlikely to have legs for a number of reasons.
The Blues already have the likes of Hakim Ziyech, Timo Werner, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Christian Pulisic who can play in wide areas, so signing another winger would not make much sense.
Tuchel is also reportedly looking for a number nine in the mould of Erling Haaland or Romelu Lukaku, rather than a player like Salah. It does very much feel like an agent may be trying to put pressure on Liverpool to give the Egyptian a new contract by spreading these rumours.
