Bournemouth Vs Liverpool: Match Preview & Injury News

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool will need to keep their wits about them as they take on Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon, following their annihilation of bitter rivals Manchester United.

Liverpool are expected to be without Luis Diaz, Calvin Ramsay and Thiago Alcantara for the game against the Cherries. Additionally, Joe Gomez, Naby Keita and Arthur Melo are all major doubts – it’s likely that these three will miss out on the game, too.

While Diaz is confirmed to be absent for the game, he is making good progress with his recovery from injury. The Columbian trickster has been out of action for five months now, after picking up a knee problem back at the start of October.

As we’re sure you all know, in their last Premier League game, Liverpool crushed Manchester United at Anfield by a score of 7-0. It was a complete whitewash – United barely even turned up and the Reds were keen to punish them for it. Goals were scored by Mohamed Salah, Darwin Nunez, Cody Gakpo and Roberto Firmino.

Bournemouth were also involved in a dramatic game last weekend – sadly, it didn’t go their way. The Cherries started brightly, scoring against Arsenal after just nine seconds. They doubled their advantage soon after – however, Arsenal completed an inspired comeback to condemn Bournemouth to their 14th league defeat so far this season. Can Liverpool make it 15?

Liverpool are currently fifth in the Premier League table, just three points behind fourth-placed Tottenham – and the Reds also have a game in hand. Meanwhile, Bournemouth are rooted to the bottom of the table – despite this, they’re only a single victory away from escaping the bottom three.
