Brighton V Liverpool: Team News And Betting Odds

Anfield Stadium

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will be hoping to have at least some of the eight players currently sidelined back for the game against Brighton on Saturday.

Mo Salah returned against Atalanta but there are still fitness concerns over the likes of captain Jordan Henderson (hamstring), Thiago Alcantara (knee), Trent Alexander-Arnold (calf), Xherdan Shaqiri (muscular) and Naby Keita (hamstring).

Three players who will definitely miss the game at the Amex will be Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain who are all recovering from knee injuries.

Brighton boss Graham Potter has six players missing due to injury. Davy Propper could return after illness, but there are doubts over Leandro Trossard and Adam Lallana (both groin).

Jose Izquierdo (knee), Chris Walton (ankle) and Florin Andone (knee) are unavailable, as is Alexis Mac Allister who is sidelined with the virus. Tariq Lamptey is suspended after being sent off against Aston Villa.

The bookmakers have made Liverpool the favourites with Sky Bet pricing them at 3/5 odds-on to win. A draw is 16/5 with 888 Sport while a Brighton victory is 24/5 at Unibet.

Predicted Score – 2-1 to Liverpool
