David James Calls On Liverpool To Sign 193M Rated Duo Who Would Bring “Something Special” To The Club

Ex-Liverpool goalkeeper David James says it would be “something special” if his former club manage to sign both Chelsea’s Mason Mount and Borussia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham this summer.

The two England internationals have been heavily linked with a switch to Anfield and James believes the pair would be excellent additions to Jurgen Klopp’s squad:

“If Liverpool are interested in him, then the prospect of Mason Mount and Jude Bellingham in Liverpool’s midfield would be something special I think.”

Mount is struggling to agree terms with Chelsea over a new contract and there are reports that the Blues may be prepared to sell the 24-year-old for around £60m at the end of the season.

Newcastle, Manchester City and Manchester United are, though, said to be keeping tabs on the midfielder’s situation as well.

In terms of Bellingham, Dortmund are thought to have slapped a €150m (£133m) price tag on the player and, while the Reds are classed as favourites for the teenager’s signature, it remains to be seen whether they are willing to smash their transfer record to get him.
