Di Marzio Names The “Two Clubs” Who He Believes Are In Pole Position To Sign Bellingham

Liverpool and Manchester United are the “two clubs” that have the best chance of securing the services of Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham, according to journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.

The Sky Sport Italia reporter suggests that the teenager would be “absolutely perfect” for the Reds, who need to reinforce their options in the middle of the park:

“Liverpool would be the best option for Jude Bellingham. They need a refresher squad and new top players and Bellingham is absolutely perfect for Jurgen Klopp and the way Liverpool play. He definitely has the talent to be a star at the LFC and they will try to get him. Manchester United would also be a possibility but I think those two clubs will be the ones trying to sign Jude Bellingham.”

Other teams, including Real Madrid, Chelsea and Manchester City are also said to be keen on recruiting Bellingham so we shall have to wait and see whether Di Marzio is correct about his claims.

There is no doubt that Jurgen Klopp’s side have already put a lot of work into signing the 19-year-old but, if they miss out on the top four this season, it could seriously jeopardise their chances of snapping up the England international.

Failing to qualify for the Champions League would not only hinder Liverpool’s ability to complete the deal financially, but Bellingham may have his head turned by other clubs who will be participating in Europe’s top competition.
