Liverpool have reportedly joined Manchester City and Spurs in pursuing Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger.
The 28-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season and the Reds are apparently monitoring the centre-back’s situation.
While Rudiger has been in excellent form over the past twelve months, fans on Twitter don’t think the German international is a player that the Merseyside club should be looking to sign:
Don’t need him

Rudiger is good, but we have what we need in the position for years to come. I actually think we have what we need. Let's support our reds #YNWA

No, he wants a Kings ransom for a wage & he's far too clumsy in a back 4, plays better in a back 3 as its shown for Chelsea

Rudiger is a key member of Thomas Tuchel’s back three but, it must be said, Liverpool really don’t need to recruit another centre-half at the moment.
Jurgen Klopp’s side did have an injury crisis in the position last season but they currently have five fit centre-backs in Virgil van Dijk, Joel Matip, Ibrahima Konate, Joe Gomez and Nat Phillips
There isn’t any room for Rudiger, despite the fact that he is a very good defender who would improve most teams in the Premier League.
