‘Embarrassing To Watch’ – Liverpool Fans Back Milner’s Veiled Criticism Of PSG Superstar
Liverpool midfielder James Milner reflected the feelings of many Reds fans after posting a picture of Neymar lying on the ground during PSG’s 2-1 win over the Merseyside club last night.
The team’s vice-captain was making a thinly veiled dig at the Brazilian forward’s diving antics with his message on Twitter:

Fans replied with many frustrated at PSG’s gamesmanship during the match, although some acknowledged that Liverpool were also poor on the night:
A lot of people think Neymar hasn’t won a Ballon d’Or because he is in other peoples shadows but I think it all the diving, he’s embrassing to watch and officials should be a lot harsher on him

Isn’t it amazing that they all covered there faces when lying down . This is what’s wrong with the game & officials not taking appropriate action isn’t helpful. Kids now dive & shout Ahhhh consistently at games as they believe they have too now

Neymar has taught his whole team to engage in these theatrics rather than play football. It’s a stain on the game. Officials need to ignore the theatrics.

Jurgen Klopp’s side picked up six yellow cards during the game with Polish referee Szymon Marciniak awarding 32 free kicks, 20 against the Reds.
Liverpool will need to beat Napoli 1-0 or win by two clear goals in the final group game to qualify for the Champions League knockout rounds. They currently sit third in Group C with six points from five games.
Before that crunch match, they will face Everton in the Merseyside derby on Sunday before successive away games against Burnley and Bournemouth.
