Ex-Liverpool fullback Jose Enrique believes Conor Gallagher would be an excellent addition for the Reds if they managed to prize him away from Chelsea this summer.

The 22-year-old has been outstanding during his loan spell at Crystal Palace and, after seeing him in action against Arsenal on Monday night, Enrique believes he would be very suited to playing in Jurgen Klopp’s side:

The chances of Liverpool signing Gallagher are very slim at the moment, considering that Chelsea are likely to integrate him into their first-team squad next season.

Of course, were here to move on and become successful at another team, it could be a transfer worth revisiting in the future but, for now, it is not a realistic possibility.

The Reds will be looking to strengthen in midfield this summer, with the likes of Monaco’s Aurelien Tchouameni and Lille’s Amadou Onann among the names reportedly being considered as targets.
