Henderson, Matip And Jota To Start, Diaz And Keita On The Bench: Liverpool’s Predicted XI To Face City

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has rejected talk that the fixture against Manchester City is a “title decider” but a loss at the Etihad would deal a devastating blow to their hopes of finishing top of the table.

The Reds do have a fully fit squad to choose from, which means Klopp does have quite a few selection dilemmas heading into tomorrow evening’s game.

Alisson will start in goal, with Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson expected to play in the two fullback positions. There could be a change in the centre of defence, though, with Joel Matip coming in to partner Virgil van Dijk, which would mean Ibrahima Konate dropping to the bench.

In midfield, captain Jordan Henderson is likely to return to the starting eleven after being left on the bench against Benfica. Naby Keita is the favourite to make way, with Fabinho and Thiago keeping their places.

The biggest decision for Klopp will be who to play up front. Luis Diaz has been in excellent form but the experience of Sadio Mane may be favoured on the left-wing, with Diogo Jota down the middle and Mo Salah on the right flank.
