“I Always Say…” 57M Rated South American Star Lays Out Transfer Stance Amid Liverpool And Chelsea Links

Alexis Mac Allister playing against Liverpool for Brighton

Brighton midfielder Alexis Mac Allister has refused to be drawn on speculation linking him with a move away from the Amex.

The Seagulls face Liverpool in the FA Cup this weekend, with the Reds one of the teams (along with Chelsea and Arsenal), who have been mentioned as potential suitors, but Mac Allister says he is concentrating on playing for his current club:

“I’m fine, I always say I’m focused here in Brighton, this is the club who helped me become a better player, better human being. I’m not rushed to leave, I try not to read or hear too much but as I say, I’m very focused here. I’m looking forward to the weekend.”

It is believed that Brighton will demand around €65m (£57m) for Mac Allister, which makes the Argentine cheaper than his teammate Moises Caicedo. However, Jurgen Klopp’s side don’t seem to be looking to splash that sort of cash on a midfielder this month.

From the sound of things, the Reds could wait until the end of the season when their top targets will become available. Making such a decision, though, could sound the death knell for the club’s chances of finishing in the Champions League places this campaign.
