Liverpool could make a move for Benfica striker Darwin Nunez in the next week, according to reports in the Portuguese media.
The Uruguayan international is valued at €100m (£85m) by his club but the Reds are keen to push ahead with a deal for the player as they look to replace Sadio Mane.
While Nunez finished the season with 34 goals in all competitions, scoring in both legs against the Reds for Benfica in the Champions League quarter-final, the majority of fans on Twitter are not that keen on signing the forward:
I am not convinced by him

A host of other Premier League clubs are reportedly interested in signing Nunez, including Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United and Newcastle, whilst Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain are also in the mix.
It means that the Reds shouldn’t expect Benfica to drop their valuation for the player. It would be a surprise if Jurgen Klopp’s side splashed out a club record fee on Nunez so they are likely to move on to more realistic targets.
